Tripazoid

Tripazoid are Trapezoid extended to a trio, Stephen Howard (Mixup), Jez Creek and Stevo Petherick, they perform improvised electronic soundscapes using old EMS VCS3 synthesizers, they feel that their performances, which can be quite abstract and chaotic, are a collaboration between them and their synthesizers. It sometimes feels like a struggle, one that the synths often win! 

Tripazoid were formed in 2025. More a project than regular group. Jez Creek and Steve Howard (Mixup) had formed Trapezoid two years before as a duo and decided to expand the idea with the addition of Stevo Petherick. 

Three VCS3 synths

They performed a gig at the Church of Sound on July 17th, 2025.
